Acharya Prashant addresses a seeker who claims that his spiritual journey has led to a sense of detachment and carelessness toward his family, resulting in domestic friction and complaints from his wife. The speaker clarifies that true spiritual progress should not manifest as indifference or the use of derogatory language toward one's partner. He emphasizes that if one has gained wisdom or a higher understanding, it is their responsibility to share that light with those closest to them rather than treating them as a burden or an obstacle. He criticizes the consumerist mindset where a person uses a relationship for physical or emotional gratification and then abandons the partner emotionally once they find a new spiritual path.
