Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the laziness Jesus refers to is a manifestation of a tremendous ego. This laziness, or 'Tamsa', is a stubborn refusal to change or do the right thing, where an individual feels satisfied in a diseased state because they have lost the sensitivity to feel their own pain. He notes that this state can superficially resemble enlightenment, as both the Buddha and the lazy person may appear peaceful and confident; however, the lazy person's peace is entirely dependent on external conditions and material comforts, whereas the Buddha's peace is unconditional.
