Description

Acharya Prashant responds to a college student's query about a teacher who was formerly associated with his organization. The student notes a discrepancy between the teacher's teachings and Acharya Prashant's, but refrains from arguing out of respect for the past association. Acharya Prashant explains that it is not easy to purify the mind or elevate consciousness. This profound purification of the mind cannot be achieved by staying with him or anyone else for just a couple of years. He states that if someone were truly interested in purification, they would have remained with the organization and not left or been asked to leave. It is inappropriate to think that a former member or student is a reflection or representative of him. If the student is giving respect to this person solely based on their past association, it is the student's own responsibility, and Acharya Prashant has no role or accountability in it. He clarifies that his responsibility towards any person, and that too a limited one, exists only as long as they are with the organization. After they leave, he has no information, control, or accountability for what they do or say. The work of the organization is dynamic; they are preparing new ground, moving towards new skies, understanding new things, and making new sacrifices in the face of new challenges. It is certain that someone who left was not ready for these new challenges and sacrifices. People have their personal lives, priorities, and compulsions, and he expresses sympathy for them. However, the fact that this person is using his name and photos to establish influence in Indore is not right. If this person truly respected him, they would be in direct contact. Acharya Prashant observes that often, people who leave the organization do so out of shame for not being able to meet its challenges and then avoid contact. Some even develop a negative view of the organization to justify their departure. He finds it interesting that this person has no contact with him but is using his name and photo to establish influence, which he deems unethical. He advises the student to listen to him directly, stating that he has not appointed any representative in Indore. His only representative is his channel. As long as he is alive, he wants to have a direct, face-to-face conversation with people, without the need for any intermediary. He urges the student to be cautious.
