Acharya Prashant discusses the concept of free will in the modern age, arguing that true free will is a rarity and that most people are governed by internal and external algorithms. He explains that while digital algorithms on social media are obvious, human behavior has always been algorithmic, driven by social conditioning, relationships, and biological instincts. He suggests that our interactions are often preset codes designed to seek gratification or fulfill specific needs rather than being authentic expressions of freedom. The 'I' or the self is described as a collection of borrowed influences and genetic codes rather than an independent entity.
