Acharya Prashant explains that the essence of spiritual practice lies in the process of negation, or 'neti neti', rather than in the active pursuit of saying 'yes'. He illustrates that whether one acts to disturb or to soothe, the doer remains the same; therefore, the focus must be on the negation of the ego. This process of saying 'no' must continue until even the one who is negating is negated. He emphasizes that a true 'yes' is not a choice or a proposal but a state of being possessed by truth, where the ego no longer exists to exercise power. One must have the strength to live with restlessness and doubt, as only through great faith can one remain a perpetual inquirer who refuses to settle for the false.
