Worldwide Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta has been acclaimed as one of the scriptures that stands the tallest in spirituality. The Bhagavad Gita is special because it is narrated in a very worldly, very practical setting. The outcome of the conversation would decide actively the fate of many million residents of the kingdom, not merely to get entered academically in some pages of another holy book. Though this scripture is centuries old, commentaries given by Acharya Prashant makes it convenient for today's generation to understand it in context of their daily life.

We will explore the following obvious questions from our lives in this course. What is it that has been pre-ordained for you by your destiny? Social responsibilities? Familial responsibilities? Following the code of your sect, cult or religion? Following the dictates of your desires and fancies? Is that your destiny? What is it that we finally want? Where is it that we ultimately want to reach?

If one does not have egoism, how can he perform any action? Have you surrendered so abjectly to your bondages that you have lost even the concept of freedom? When we say, “But if the ego is not there, how will I act?” That’s not very different from a prisoner saying, “But if the jail is not there, where will I live?”

To go beyond all the three guṇas, is first coming to a sāttvika-predominant state necessary? And if the sāttvika state is all about light and wisdom, why would one want to go beyond that?

This course is based on Chapter 18 of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
