What is worthy?

Questioner: Is it possible to live without a target in life? I set a target for myself so that I have something to strive for, so that I have a sense of direction, but the thought of not achieving this target also brings sorrow and fear. So how can a person live without a target?

The target must be a worthy target. Why target a worthless thing?
What is worthy? Is respect worthy? It makes you a slave of others.
Is money worthy? You are engaged in counting, and it can always be taken away.
Are thoughts, emotions worthy? They come from conditioning.
Are relationships worthy? They are attachments of the insecure mind, thrive on give and take, and would die the moment this trade stops.
Find out that which is worthy. Make that your target.
