Ego does it all. Ego needs something to hang upon. It cannot stand on its own. Ego is powerless without fuel. It needs your attention. It needs your identification. It needs your cooperation. Stop supplying that fuel, and it will slowly lose its power. Remember: it is not your ego. The ultimate truth is that you are not the ego. You and the ego are two separate entities. You do not have to fight it. You do not have to destroy it. You only need to see it. See the thoughts. See the reactions. See the desire to prove, possess, control and defend. Simply witness them. This witnessing is the beginning of freedom. What you think you are doing , is actually done by ego, that is precisely what you are not. So enjoy the journey of life by watching the ego dying within you. Do not cooperate with it. Do not feed it. Witness it. And as the fuel disappears, watch it lose its hold over you.
