Using water as a survival need is why Prakriti provided it to us in the first place. But the ego has turned everything from being a NATURAL resource to a matter of consumerism. The ever-increasing population and it's need for not only survival but for its ingulgence (and entertainment) has led to over use and depletion. Because of the need for indulgence, every natural resounce (including water) is not only being over used but is also being exploited. All natural resorces are inter-connected and therefore, a water crisis is also a climate crisis and vice versa. This depletion shows very distincly during summer when the water crisis is experienced. It is evident that the ego with all its greed, competition, jealousy etc is slowly and steadily usurping every NATURAL resource available to it.
