Acharya Prashant: Energy arises when you know what you are doing . Life is inert and boring when you do not know what you are really doing. You have no interest in doing anything.

All of you are sitting here. There are many of you who are looking here and there. Many of you are on the verge of sleeping. All this is happening because many of you do not know what is happening here, why they are sitting here. When action comes out of understanding, then a lot of energy opens up, then you are alive and young, over flowing with energy. And that is life, that is the joy of life, not this yawning.

This is not how a twenty-two year old kid is supposed to look like. This is not youth.

Have you ever tried to understand why this happens? Why life is so dull, so boring?

Because only an intelligent life can be exciting.

When this life is not yours, when you are living it according to a script, then how will you have any energy in living it? Is that how you want to live? Is that how you want to pass your these two years? If you don’t want to pass your these two years that way then the first step is to be attentive and also the last step.

Attentive to what?

Attentive not to what is happening in the world, attentive not to what is happening in the Milky Way, attentive to yourself. Understanding yourself.

If at this moment I am feeling like looking out of the window, then why?

Can I really ask myself this question? Do I really understand that why I am fidgeting?

Can I be attentive to my own life processes? What is all this that keeps going in my mind? Why am I so afraid all the time?

When your seniors enter the time of placements, watch them, watch them carefully. And look at all the fear and insecurity, hopes and ambitions. Look at them closely and ask yourself that is fear and insecurity any different from hopes and ambitions.

And once you discover that for yourself not because somebody else who told you, but for yourself, once you discover that for yourself, there will be great freedom and energy. There will be great energy, then you will be really young.

Now that I have stopped, you have stopped. Again you want somebody else to create a flow in which you to drift.
