Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the concept of "everybody's soul" is absurd in the context of truth because the truth is neither diverse nor one. He clarifies that while the fundamental tendencies of the mind—such as greed, fear, and violence—are universal and shared, the mind itself is an object that perceives a three-dimensional universe. He asserts that an individual, as they currently exist, is simply mind originating from the truth but declaring itself separate. Therefore, human salvation is actually liberation from the self and the mind's self-concept of separation. He notes that existence is defined by the perception of separate units, but when one is liberated, they are liberated from the concept of "all-ness" and diversity. In this state, differences are recognized as superficial tendencies of the mind that dissolve when one is deeply relaxed. True salvation occurs when objects, people, and situations lose the significance, seriousness, and fear previously attached to them, as the perception of difference recedes.
