Acharya Prashant explains that human actions occur on four distinct levels. The lowest level is characterized by deep unconsciousness or mechanical instincts, similar to animals, where actions happen without any awareness. The second level involves a state of partial awareness, like being under the influence of an intoxicant, where one is somewhat aware but still making errors. The third level is what most people commonly call 'conscious decision-making,' where one uses intellect, logic, and calculation to make choices. However, Acharya Prashant asserts that even this level is prone to error because it is based on ego and pre-planned schemes. The fourth level is true consciousness or 'Hosh,' which transcends ordinary thought and calculation. At this level, right action happens spontaneously and effortlessly, characterized by a subtle internal passion or 'Junoon' that keeps one energized without the need for external noise or display.
