Acharya Prashant addresses a question regarding whether the state of enlightenment or 'Bodha' is merely a higher state of mind or something beyond it. He clarifies that 'Bodha' is not a concept but the process of examining all concepts. He explains that the mind often seeks relief from problems by moving to what it perceives as a higher state. However, if problems exist at a lower level, moving to a relatively higher level only reduces them rather than eliminating them entirely. This continuous movement towards higher clarity is what is referred to as the ascent towards the Self or 'Atma'. He emphasizes that 'Atma' is not a destination or a concept, but the very foundation and energy behind this upward movement. He warns against the delusion of 'positive thinking' and self-help books that suggest one can fool oneself into wisdom. He argues that if a method is inherently wrong, any temporary relief it provides is not true help but a delusion that will eventually fail. True wisdom requires abstinence from the very thought patterns and ego-centric centers that cause mental sickness in the first place. He concludes that the journey towards the Self is infinite; as long as there is a slight distance remaining, the movement continues, which is the essence of the spiritual process.
