Acharya Prashant addresses the perceived contradiction in his teachings regarding whether a person is completely conditioned or beyond conditioning. He explains that he provides specific guidance based on the individual's current state of being, comparing it to giving different things to two different people, Joe and Jim. He asserts that if a listener finds his statements contradictory, it is because they are merely collecting knowledge rather than applying the teaching relevant to their own state. Using the analogy of laundry, he points out that wetting a cloth and then drying it is not a contradiction but a necessary process for cleaning. He emphasizes that his words and behavior toward a person vary depending on whether they are acting from a state of awareness or conditioning. He concludes that he may offer the highest respect or the most severe humiliation, depending entirely on who the person is being at that moment.
