Acharya Prashant explains that the mind can deal with habitual, repetitive challenges, but when something real and new comes, the mind does not know what to do with it. This new thing is what Jesus refers to as a mountain, and only faith can deal with it; you cannot. Miracles and magic happen, and one who does not believe in them does not believe in life itself and has not known life. If miracles do not happen, then your birth cannot happen. Your very existence is proof that miracles happen. Don't become too clever, reasonable, or rational. Miracles happen; even the dead come back to life. Instead of arguing, one should ask how soil becomes a human. It is easier to explain how a human becomes soil, but how soil becomes a human is a mystery. Is there any word for it other than magic? Everything is magic. Forget that magic happens only sometimes; there is nothing other than magic. Everything that is happening is without a cause. Magic means without a cause. The speaker cites Patanjali, who said that the first illusion is proof itself. Proof means it is not magic, that there is a cause behind everything. Science has also taught us this; science is the search for causes. Life is the art of the impossible. If you do not know the impossible, you do not know the art of living. A life in which only the possible happens is a life of great poverty. Life runs on what is impossible, on what logic forbids. The speaker uses the absurd question, "Does your dog fly?" to test a person's nature. The man whose dogs don't fly is a dangerous man. The one whose cat doesn't talk to him is very dangerous. Only the magical is real; what is not magic is false. Everything happens, it is a magical world. Not just dogs, even elephants fly. You must learn to make elephants fly. Until you learn to make elephants fly, you have not learned to live.
