Acharya Prashant explains that while nature should be the center for animals, the soul should be the center for human beings. However, most humans have made either nature, representing the body, or the mind, representing society, their center. To the extent that a human is centered on nature, they are essentially an animal. Such individuals can be identified by their behaviors, which mirror those of animals: spending the entire day arranging food, sleeping, engaging in lust, or fighting. Just as a monkey is constantly preoccupied with food and a lion is willing to kill others to fill its stomach, a person driven by greed or physical needs is operating from a primitive center rather than the soul.
