Acharya Prashant addresses a question regarding spiritual experiences during chakra meditation, specifically the feeling of being on the verge of 'crossing over' before being pulled back by fear. He clarifies that the mind can never truly cross over to the beyond because it only knows and fears what is already within the realm of the known, such as images, information, and pre-conditioned concepts. What the seeker perceived as a spiritual breakthrough was merely a transition between different states of the mind, fueled by descriptions of experiences—like physical sensations, lights, or fear of death—that are commonly documented in spiritual literature. He emphasizes that any experience, whether pleasant or terrifying, remains a mental phenomenon and does not represent true liberation.
