Description

Acharya Prashant explains that Advaita Vedanta views reality at three distinct levels. The highest is the transcendental or absolute level (Paramarthic), where the pure self is the only truth. At this level, suffering is addressed by realizing that the sufferer is fictitious; if the ego is seen as false, the pain it experiences also vanishes. However, this level is the most difficult for the ego to accept because it requires complete self-obliteration. Shri Krishna first attempts to bring Arjun to this highest level, but Arjun resists because he is not ready to see his own identity as an illusion.
