Description

Acharya Prashant explains that grace is not a matter of choice or action; it is ever-present and universal, much like sunlight. The sun does not choose to shine on the earth, nor does it have a specific desire to do so; its very nature is light. Similarly, one does not earn grace through effort. Grace is always available, but individuals often imprison themselves in the darkness of their habits and attachments. To experience grace, one must simply step out of this self-imposed confinement. The movement toward light happens because of a deep-seated remembrance within the inner self. Even in darkness, something within a person recalls the light, and when a small opening appears, that memory becomes a powerful force driving them to break down walls and seek the source. He describes the Guru as a messenger or a signpost who reminds an individual of their true home. The Guru is not someone who keeps followers for themselves but someone who directs them back to their origin. Using the analogy of the sun, he explains that all energy on earth is essentially condensed solar energy; likewise, human consciousness is derived from the ultimate source. The Guru serves as living proof that liberation, love, and freedom are possible. While the ego has the absolute freedom to remain ignorant or even oppose the truth, it also has the freedom to turn back toward the source. Acharya Prashant concludes by noting that while the ego may feel tempted to destroy the messenger to protect itself, the truth remains unaffected because the Guru is not merely a physical person but a representative of the eternal truth.
