Acharya Prashant clarifies that the common portrayal of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita as a text meant only for the final moments of life is a limited and incomplete understanding. While it is true that the Gita helps at the time of death, one must realize that death is occurring at every moment, not just at the end of physical life. He explains that Shri Krishna's teachings were given to Arjuna when he was mentally and psychologically collapsing, not when he was physically dying. Therefore, the Gita is a medicine for the constant suffering and ignorance that plague a person throughout their life. It should be studied as early as possible, rather than waiting for old age when physical and mental faculties have declined.
