Acharya Prashant explains that remembering Shri Krishna with the mind and intellect will happen later; first, the mind and intellect must stop worshipping what is not Krishna. The Krishna you worship will be of the same quality as your life. It is not possible to worship ten foolish things throughout the day and also worship a true Krishna. If your Krishna is real, he will not allow the ten foolish things to persist. All devotees of Krishna should examine their lives to avoid being deceived. The truth and power of your devotion to Krishna are not measured by how much you remember him, but by who and what else you remember besides him. The mind is always occupied with something; you must examine what occupies it—which people, issues, places, events, hopes, faces, and voices. Superficial acts of devotion like playing bhajans or using a rosary are meaningless if the rest of your life is corrupt. Many organizations built in Krishna's name engage in immense hypocrisy, and joining them can create the illusion of being a great devotee. To have Krishna in your mind means to forget all things that lack 'Krishnatva' (Krishna-ness), which is limitlessness and infinity. Anything that is small, trivial, and bound by time is Krishna's Maya. However, the path to liberation also exists within this world of Maya. 'Krishnatva' is one, but Krishna, the form or avatar, can change with time and situation. Truth is one, but its avatars change. Light is one, but suns change. It is possible to find Krishna in different forms at different places and in different situations. You must be alert, humble, and reverent to recognize the embodiment of truth in its various forms.
