Description

Acharya Prashant explains that human troubles arise not from deficiencies but from an excess of useless and toxic mental accumulation, such as ideologies, fantasies, and self-concepts. He describes the process of spiritual activity as an unburdening or letting go of this unnecessary weight. In the path of knowledge, this process is called renunciation, where one recognizes the toxicity of their thoughts and emotions and chooses to drop them. However, this path contains an inherent contradiction: the seeker, who is mentally unwell, attempts to be their own doctor and heal themselves using the very ego that is the source of the problem.
