Acharya Prashant explains that the Lord is the source of consciousness, while the world is its expanse. Creation occurs when the pure source of awareness manifests into multiple levels and colors of consciousness. He clarifies that consciousness and its contents are inseparable; to be conscious is always to be conscious of something. Dissolution, therefore, means consciousness without content, where the ego no longer identifies with its associations, allowing consciousness to recede into pure awareness. In this state of awareness, there is no 'I' or knower, only knowing itself. While consciousness is always specific and limited, awareness is universal and without a particular object.
