Description

Acharya Prashant explains that action is unavoidable, and the critical factor is the source of one's actions—whether they arise from unconscious blindness or desirelessness. He clarifies that the Truth cannot be grasped through the mind's dualistic thinking of 'knowing' or 'not knowing.' Both positions are mere mental concepts. The mind falsely believes that it can reach the Truth by refining its thoughts from 'wrong' to 'right,' but the speaker emphasizes that the very idea of reaching the Truth through thought is flawed. Thought is a medium for understanding the world, but silence is the medium for the Truth. Anything that can be contained within a thought is merely a part of the material world and not the ultimate reality. He further discusses the human condition, noting that the search for the Soul or Self is unique to humans because only humans have lost their connection to their source. While other beings remain naturally connected to existence, humans exist in a state of being 'unclaimed' or 'orphaned' from their origin. This lack of connection leads to a lifelong search for one's true identity. He uses the analogy of Karna to illustrate the restlessness of a life spent not knowing one's true origin. Ultimately, he asserts that liberation and immortality are possible only within this life by recognizing this connection and moving beyond the limitations of thought.
