Acharya Prashant explains that Truth is that which the mind is in search of. When asked about the origin of the mind, he clarifies that the mind has emerged from Truth. Because it has come out of Truth, it now believes in a state of absence or lack. In its own view, the mind has moved away from Truth, and so, in its own perception, it lives in a state of lack. The mind's existence is as real as our own, as we are all mind. Every question that arises is a manifestation of this mind. A question signifies incompleteness; if one knew the Truth, no questions would arise. Therefore, the absence of Truth itself becomes the question. Every question is the mind itself. When questioned about how the mind gained the power to separate from Truth, Acharya Prashant states that this power is not of the mind but is the power of Truth itself. The mind has no inherent strength. The separation is a matter of choice, a will of Truth. To ask how it started is like asking about the Big Bang. The feeling of separation is subjective. For whom has the mind separated? It has separated for the one who feels it has. And why does one feel so? Because one chooses to. The answer to why the mind separated from Truth is that it is your choice. For the one who chooses this, the mind has separated; for the one who does not, it has not. You are not the small being you think you are; you are immensely powerful, and your wishes come true. You wished to separate, and so you did. The same power of choice that can take you away from Truth can also bring you back. Truth has not exiled you; you left on your own and can return on your own. It is a matter of your choice.
