Oceans Rise. You Just Ordered A Burger || Acharya Prashant, IIT-Kharagpur (2022) Context: - In this video, Acharya Ji explains that the rising tide of extremism across politics, religion, and society is not a collection of separate problems but a single symptom of one deep root cause. Every extreme behaviour, whether it is obsessive eating after a breakup, possessive love, competitive rage, or religious fanaticism, points to an inner thirst that remains unquenched. The world today is at record highs in prosperity, knowledge, and technology, yet anxiety and mental suffering have never been greater. This paradox exists because all the progress humanity has achieved is entirely external, while the inner space of the human being has grown more hollow than ever before. That inner void drives people toward increasingly extreme actions in the outside world as a desperate attempt to fill what cannot be filled through consumption. This hollowness has two main sources: a technology that endlessly produces more goods, and a modern philosophy that positions the consumption of those goods as the very purpose of human life. The spiritual core of religion, which once pointed humanity toward liberation and inner fulfilment, was discarded along with religion's corruptions during the age of enlightenment. Without that inner compass, human beings are left chasing meaning through outer extremes, from riots and ideologies to going to Mars for pleasure. The real crisis of this age is not external at all. It is a crisis of consciousness. āāāāāā š§ Listen to #AcharyaPrashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3f0KFwe... Music Credits: Milind Date ~~~~
