Acharya Prashant explains that the choice of spiritual practice depends entirely on the state of the seeker. Referring to the Bhagavad Gita, he notes that Shri Krishna describes the path of the formless (Nirakar) as extremely difficult for those identified with the body. For people living in a physical world with a strong sense of 'I-am-the-body', attempting to worship the formless often leads to creating mental images or superficial beliefs that crumble under pressure. Therefore, Shri Krishna suggests that worship of the Divine with attributes (Saguna) is more practical and effective for most people.
