Description

Acharya Prashant clarifies that Jesus is not a misogynist and that his references to an adulterous woman are not about social institutions or gender, but about the state of the human mind. He explains that the woman represents the mind, and adultery signifies misplaced devotion or attachment to anything other than the truth. Just as Kabir Saheb uses the term 'Sati' to describe a mind devoted to 'Sat' or truth, adultery is defined as being attracted to that which leads one away from the truth. True devotion is found in being attracted to a messenger of truth, whereas focusing on anything else constitutes spiritual adultery. Regarding the concept of the Lord's wrath, Acharya Prashant asserts that God is never angry and does not possess human emotions like wrath. Instead, what is perceived as divine wrath is actually the individual's own wrath upon themselves, resulting from unwise decisions and the misuse of the power of choice. He explains that the Lord's punishment is subtle: He remains present but becomes effectively absent to the individual who chooses to be blind to the truth. To be saved, one must stay with the inclination to seek redemption and make the right decision to open one's eyes to the truth that is already present.
