Acharya Prashant explains that what we call nature is a combination of biological conditioning and social conditioning. Biological conditioning is innate, while social conditioning is acquired from society; however, neither is spiritual. He illustrates this by noting that while an animal acts on biological instinct, a human might act based on social habits, such as eating certain animals. He questions whether one can live beyond these conditions and adopt a spiritual attitude toward other beings. He suggests that one's actions should not be driven by conditioning. A practical guideline he offers is to avoid killing any creature unless it is actively trying to kill you. While saints might show even greater compassion by forgiving those who intend them harm, he advises the common person to at least exercise restraint and use their intelligence to find non-violent solutions for pests like cockroaches or rodents, just as they use intelligence for professional success.
