Acharya Prashant explains verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, emphasizing that the truth is obvious to those whose eyes are not clouded by concepts, attachments, and physical or social conditioning. He interprets Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's words to mean that time itself acts as a revealer of truth if one knows how to exist within it. Every element of the universe, from the sun and moon to a speck of dust, is an expression of the almighty truth for the humble. However, human beings are often entangled in property, wealth, and articles, which prevents this realization. Acharya Prashant describes two levels of attachment: the physical level, where one is conditioned like an animal to blood relations, and the mental level, involving money, prestige, and knowledge. He warns that if one remains consumed by these attachments, they miss the message of time and are eventually devoured by death. He further elaborates that the faculty of attachment remains the same whether the object is gross, like the body, or subtle, like spiritual knowledge. The mind constantly seeks something to latch onto, causing it to ignore the obvious truth. Acharya Prashant suggests that every 'tick-tock' of time is actually a 'knock-knock' from a messenger, but people miss this message because they are preoccupied with their personal world of 'mine'. He concludes by stating that spirituality is about shedding internal weight and attachments to become light. Using the metaphor of angels and the messenger of death, he explains that liberation is for those who live lightly, while those weighed down by beliefs and attachments are dragged away by the consequences of their own heavy conditioning.
