Acharya Prashant clarifies the distorted meaning of mindfulness or awareness often propagated in modern spirituality. He explains that true awareness is not about focusing on physical actions like walking or eating, which he describes as materialistic and body-centric. Instead, real awareness means keeping one's attention constantly fixed on the Truth or the Divine, even while performing worldly tasks. He describes the state of a realized being as one of divine intoxication, where they may appear unaware of the world because their focus is entirely elsewhere. While images or specific environments can be used as initial aids to find peace, they should not become permanent attachments or bondages.
