Acharya Prashant explains that individuals often surround themselves with people who contribute to their misery rather than their growth. He references the poet Rumi to emphasize that one must endure the discomfort of being corrected or 'cleaned' by a spiritual guide, even if it feels painful or intrusive. He points out that most people are familiar with trivial or worldly figures but remain ignorant of profound thinkers like Rumi, suggesting that the company one keeps dictates their level of awareness. The lack of introduction to such great souls indicates a life filled with superficial influences rather than true well-wishers.
