Description

Acharya Prashant explains the opening verses of the fourth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, where Shri Krishna describes the eternal nature of Yoga. He clarifies that when Shri Krishna speaks of teaching this wisdom to the Sun (Vivasvan) in ancient times, He is not referring to His physical body, which is subject to time, but to His essence as pure consciousness or 'Bodha'. This consciousness is timeless and exists beyond the cycle of birth and death. While Arjuna is confused by the historical impossibility of Shri Krishna teaching someone from a much earlier era, Shri Krishna explains that while both have had many births, He remains aware of His eternal nature while Arjuna remains trapped in the ignorance of identifying with the body.
