Acharya Prashant explains that the night is more honest than the day because it reveals the limitations of our sensory-based knowledge. During the day, the ability to see creates an egoistic illusion of knowing, whereas the darkness of night exposes how dependent our intellect is on external light and physical senses. He emphasizes that true awakening is not merely being physically awake, as both sleeping and waking are just different states within the mind. Real awakening involves transcending the mind entirely, which he compares to stepping out of a bottle. A wise person remains awake even while sleeping, whereas an ordinary person remains asleep even while their eyes are open.
