Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the fear and anxiety experienced during menstruation are fundamentally physical and biological in origin. He points out that while these feelings seem mental, they are actually driven by hormonal and glandular changes within the body. The mind, he describes, is a 'sandwich' between the physical body and the pure self. Most people fail to make the choice to align with the pure self, resulting in a mind that is nothing more than the brain and its chemical processes. He emphasizes that what is often called the mind is frequently just the movement of chemicals and polymers, making it mechanical and predictable rather than truly conscious. He advises that one should not take these bodily occurrences personally. Since these processes are evolutionary and mechanical, they should be left to their own mechanics without causing mental worry. Acharya Prashant suggests that the individual should maintain a distance from these observed phenomena, recognizing that they are the observer and not the event itself. By realizing that these changes are chemical and not 'me', the relationship with the body changes even if the physical sensations remain. He encourages the practice of extricating oneself from the primitive tendencies of the body, asserting that while the body follows its own evolutionary path, the self remains perfect and beyond the stream of time.
