Using the Bhagavad Gita's 18th chapter as a reference, he clarifies that the concepts of paap and punya carry entirely different meanings by the end of the Gita compared to how Arjun understood them in chapter one, where ignorance is the only sin and liberation through self-realization is the only virtue. He places the Kurukshetra war in historical perspective, highlighting that the outcome was not merely personal to Arjun but would have determined the fate of an entire civilization, which is why Krishna could not afford any confusion or delay in Arjun's understanding. Across 18 chapters, Krishna employs multiple approaches and levels of explanation, from the highest philosophical truth down to the most practical and accessible understanding, because the student was simply not ready to rise to the teacher's level. Acharya Ji beautifully points out that the descending compassion of Krishna, where the teacher comes down to meet the student rather than waiting for the student to rise, is what makes the Gita a uniquely practical and deeply human spiritual document, and understanding this context is essential to avoid misquoting or misinterpreting its verses. ➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🎧 Listen to #AcharyaPrashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3f0KFwe...
