Acharya Prashant explains that the wise person, having found rest in their true self (Swaroop) after being exhausted by thoughts, neither imagines, knows, hears, nor sees. This state refers to the Atman, which is singular and without a second; therefore, the acts of seeing or knowing, which imply duality and limitation, do not apply to it. While the body and mind continue their natural functions—eyes seeing, ears hearing, and intellect analyzing—the one established in the self remains entirely detached and silent. He clarifies that even calling this state 'silent' or 'smiling' is an approximation, as the Atman transcends all expressions and definitions known to us. It is a state of 'non-being' where the ego, which usually interferes with the senses, has dissolved.
