Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the only true freedom is the freedom of mind, yet most people live in a state of constant compulsion driven by fear and greed. He argues that almost every action we take, such as attending college sessions or seeking a job, is motivated by external pressures like the desire for a degree or the fear of missing out on a placement. Because we have become so accustomed to the language of fear, even the path toward fearlessness often has to begin with a push or a force, as we do not understand any other motivation. He emphasizes that our desires are rarely our own; they are implanted by our environment, conditioning, and societal influences, much like how marketing or cultural upbringing dictates our choices. He further clarifies that true individuality is lost in conditioning, which makes everyone follow a nearly identical life script of education, marriage, and career. While people fear that intelligence or freedom might make everyone the same, Acharya Prashant asserts that it is actually ignorance and conditioning that create a uniform crowd. Intelligence, on the other hand, is where true diversity lies. He uses examples of great scientists and spiritual figures to show that while their actions are rooted in a common intelligence, their expressions and lives are uniquely diverse. To find one's own path, one must first have the humility to recognize that what they currently call their 'own' desires are merely foreign influences.
