Acharya Prashant explains that an incarnation is one who has emptied themselves of their own ego and is filled entirely with the Truth. While the Truth is abstract, formless, and beyond the senses, an incarnation serves as a tangible representative of that Truth. He notes that looking at a worldly person might trigger worldly thoughts, but looking at a figure like Kabir Saheb reminds one of something far beyond the physical body. Because the abstract Truth is not directly 'useful' to a person in their current state, the incarnation or the 'Mahatma' is considered even greater than the soul because they serve as a bridge to the Truth. The purpose of a form or idol is to help the observer let go of trivial memories, which is what it means to 'remember' the formless.
