Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the only true inspiration for living an excellent life is the realization of the inferiority of one's current existence. He defines excellence as the very nature of the Soul, which is synonymous with absolute perfection. Because the Soul is inherently complete, any deficiency, impurity, or incompleteness in life naturally causes discomfort. While many people condition themselves to accept a mediocre life, this acceptance is only superficial; internally, every human being remains dissatisfied with anything small or limited. Citing the Upanishads, he notes that true happiness is found only in the infinite, not in boundaries or semi-conscious states. To achieve excellence, one must stop compromising with mediocrity. Acharya Prashant emphasizes that even if absolute perfection seems unattainable, one must never stop moving toward it. He argues that the very act of refusing to settle for eighty or ninety percent is proof that the 'hundred'—the ultimate—is already guiding the seeker from within. While the goal may remain distant externally, the inspiration to seek it means it has already been realized internally. He warns against using spiritual concepts like 'unconditional acceptance' as excuses for laziness or for tolerating suffering and filth. True excellence requires a rebellious spirit, an honest refusal to accept false peace, and a constant inner struggle against darkness and limitation.
