Acharya Prashant explains that the path of self-knowledge, or adhyatma, is described by Shri Krishna as the highest science and the supreme purifier. Although it may seem difficult because the human mind is biologically designed to look outward and remain in worldly bondage, it is called 'very easy' because it leads to the relaxation of inner tension. Man is a machine designed to suffer, yet possesses an inner 'eye' that seeks freedom from the machine's rigid patterns. The path of dharma is the movement toward inner ease, and therefore, anything that leads to such ease is rightfully called easy, regardless of how difficult it may appear to the ego.
