Acharya Prashant explains that the fabric or cloth mentioned in the verses of Guru Granth Sahib Ji refers to the human mind. He describes the conditioned mind as a piece of cloth that is dirty and soiled with worldly impressions and impure colors. To receive the color of the Guru or the Truth, this cloth must first be bleached white. This bleaching occurs through the fear of God, which Acharya Prashant defines as the fear of not attaining peace or dying unfulfilled. This fear leads an individual to question their conditioning and realize that worldly impressions do not provide truth, peace, or contentment. Only when the mind is negated of its false colors and identifications can it be decorated with the color of the Truth.
