In response to a young student's question about bringing spirituality into daily life, Acharya Prashant explains that the way to do so is to ask, question, and seek to understand. He advises her to never take things for granted, as she has a right to know and understand. The process involves ruthlessly questioning everything and then patiently and devotedly seeking to understand. This, he states, is the essence of spirituality. Acharya Prashant elaborates that everything in our world is man-made and therefore subject to change and investigation. He encourages asking fundamental questions about all aspects of life, such as the purpose of school, the meaning of moving from one grade to another, the definitions of nationality and gender, and our relationship with consumerism. He suggests inquiring about the origins of products, their production processes, and the sourcing of their raw materials, emphasizing that it is important to know these things. He defines spirituality as knowing life in its wholeness and seeking the totality of everything, rather than remaining limited to what is immediately visible. He asserts that since everything is man-made, it is available to be questioned. Holiness, he clarifies, does not lie in meekly bowing down but in the fearless application of intelligence. He concludes by advising that a young person must be fearless, devoted, experimental, patient, and diligent, as these qualities are interconnected. Questioning is not enough without the diligence to go deep into a matter, which requires patience.
