Description

Acharya Prashant explains that questioning arises when an individual perceives a disruption in an established pattern. He notes that people typically do not question things that fit their existing mental frameworks; however, when something occurs that contradicts their expectations or beliefs, the mind becomes uneasy and seeks answers. He categorizes people into three groups based on their relationship with patterns: those who are too unconscious to notice patterns and thus never question, those who believe in patterns and question when they are broken, and those who are so detached from patterns that they remain in silence and immersion without the need for inquiry. Acharya Prashant suggests that questioning is a form of dissent that occurs when one's beliefs are challenged. He encourages those who cannot yet reach a state of silent immersion to at least engage in questioning as a means to express the mind's resentment and potentially reach a state where questioning is no longer necessary.
