Acharya Prashant advises not to easily consider anyone to be great. He explains that people tremble in job interviews because of greed and fear, as something is at stake. If they met the same interviewers on the street, they would not be affected. Similarly, people get intimidated by famous individuals, but he questions whether being famous is the same as being great. He asserts that being great is a completely different matter, as fame can often be achieved through disgraceful acts. One can become famous by doing something obscene, while ordinary people do not receive such attention. Fame is mostly attained by vulgar people. The speaker questions why people are so intimidated by fame, money, or status. He explains that people are submissive to worldly powers because they are not submissive to the one they truly should be. In front of the ultimate, they remain arrogant. He gives an example of a friend who, while discussing the Gita, referred to Shri Krishna informally, finding it difficult to show even verbal respect. He states that whoever does not bow before Shri Krishna will have to bow before all the powerful people of the world, which is the condition of everyone. He suggests a mental experiment: if a powerful politician or industrialist were to appear, people would forget about the Gita, the Upanishads, and even Shri Krishna, and all their attention would shift to that person. This shows that for many, even Shri Krishna is not considered great; a worldly powerful person is held in higher regard. The fundamental question that determines one's life is, "Whom have you considered great?" because one will inevitably have to bow before whomever they consider great. He advises against considering worldly people as great to avoid having to bow before them. Spirituality, he explains, exists so that one does not have to bow before the world and live like a beggar. The sign of a spiritual person is that they cannot bow down to worldly powers. People bow down at every step due to immense greed and self-interest, which is the root of their fear. He advises to have only one fear: the fear of not attaining the one who is truly great. If one lives with this fear, they will become completely fearless in front of the world.
