Acharya Prashant explains that the mind naturally clings to small, trivial matters because it lacks something grand and significant to hold onto. The solution to being troubled by petty issues is not to try and force them away, but to introduce something much larger into one's life. He suggests that Truth is the greatest 'problem' one can take up, as it is beyond the mind's grasp. When one engages with such a profound challenge, smaller problems naturally become irrelevant. He illustrates this by analyzing how we get hurt by words; it is not the words themselves that cause pain, but our own expectations and relationships. This investigation, termed self-inquiry, shifts the focus from the external world to the internal state of the mind.
