Description

Acharya Prashant explains that while humans possess a physical body provided by nature and evolution, they are fundamentally different from other animals. He clarifies that while the brain is a product of evolution and time, intelligence is not. He argues that humans are the only beings capable of understanding and transcending their own natural conditioning. While animals are slaves to their physical instincts like hunger, jealousy, and violence, humans have the unique capacity to observe these traits and act against them. He provides examples of individuals like Irom Sharmila, Jatin Das, and Mahatma Gandhi, who went on long hunger strikes, and Bhagat Singh, who sacrificed his life at a young age, to demonstrate that humans can prioritize a higher purpose over their basic survival instincts. He further emphasizes that nature's primary goal for any organism is mere survival and reproduction, similar to what is expected of an animal. However, humans possess intelligence, which he refers to using the Sanskrit phrase 'Bodho’ham Prakriteh Pare,' meaning 'I am intelligence, beyond nature.' He warns that if one considers themselves merely a product of nature, they remain trapped in physical conditioning. Acharya Prashant concludes that while we should be grateful to nature for providing the physical platform of the body, we must realize that our true essence lies in intelligence and the ability to go beyond biological programming.
