Acharya Prashant addresses the questioner's struggle with corporate attachment and fixed income, pointing out that if one is satisfied and happy in their current state, there is no real challenge or perceived bondage. He clarifies that true bondage is something that traps an individual, whereas in this case, the individual is actively pursuing the job by preparing and going to work every day. He emphasizes that leaving a job does not require a massive effort; rather, it is simply the act of doing nothing, as maintaining a job is what requires constant labor. The speaker shifts the focus from the specific decision of leaving a job to the fundamental importance of understanding or realization. He explains that the core problem is a lack of awareness regarding what is truly happening in one's life. He warns against hiding behind superficial or theoretical knowledge of one's attachments. True knowing occurs at the exact moment an attraction or attachment arises. He uses the analogy of a hot bread to explain that detachment happens gradually, by breaking off small pieces at the edges. Finally, Acharya Prashant advises on how to approach spiritual texts like the Bhagavad Gita. He suggests that one should not approach a Guru or a scripture with a narrow, specific personal problem. Instead, he recommends two practices: the disinterested study of scriptures and the ruthless observation of one's own life as if it belongs to someone else. By looking at one's life as a case study and listening to the wisdom of Shri Krishna without personal demands, many problems and attachments naturally lose their grip.
