Description

Acharya Prashant explains that everything in nature is a product of conditions, defining conditioning as both a process and an output. He clarifies that what we perceive as death is merely a change in reaction within a continuous process, much like the changing pull between a magnet and iron. He suggests that viewing people as processes or a mass of chemicals, rather than as individuals, is the key to overcoming anger. When one realizes that others act without real choice due to their conditioning, anger becomes untenable because there is no central person to be angry at. Real consciousness is defined as the presence of choice, whereas wrong choices are simply the absence of choice in a helpless process. Furthermore, Acharya Prashant describes the ego as an uninvited intruder that can only survive through identification and association. Just as a gatecrasher must pretend to know guests to stay at a party, the ego must constantly seek company or objects to identify with to justify its existence. Without these identifications, the ego would be exposed as non-existent and would vanish. He concludes that while the ego claims it is necessary for the self, the true self is completely adequate, balanced, and in harmony even without the ego's presence.
