Description

Acharya Prashant explains that an individual's perception of the world's potential for improvement is a direct reflection of their own willingness to change. He states that when one begins to reform themselves and tastes the purity of innocence, they immediately gain hope that everyone else can also improve. Moving to the concept of meditation, he clarifies that the very act of practicing meditation often reinforces the false belief that one is separate from the Soul or the Self. He argues that while a person's stated goal might be to reach the Soul, their actions testify to a self-imposed distance from it. This lack of honesty, where one first identifies with restlessness and then seeks peace through methods, is described as a distortion. Referring to Ashtavakra, he notes that the effort to meditate can itself become a bond because it assumes a separation from the Self. Instead, he highlights the teachings of Kabir Saheb regarding 'Sahaj Samadhi' or natural equanimity. This state is not an event to be organized or a destination to be reached, but a constant reality that cannot be lost and therefore does not need to be found through practice or systems.
